Job Summary:
One of Heitmeyer’s insurance clients is embarking on a digital transformation to maximize their data to drive profitable business decisions and improve overall customer experience. The enterprise program has an opening for a consultative and well-rounded cloud data architect. This is a 3-4 month contract-to-hire position. The ideal candidate will sit in Ohio and on-site 2 days a week, however, this person can sit remote anywhere in the US as long as they can work EST hours.  

Job Description:
This is a hands-on strategic and tactical role tasked with collaborating on defining data capabilities and best practices for architecture, design, and implementation. Additionally, helping create data models, data mapping, and providing data governance. This person should understand P&C insurance and be well-versed in information architecture, data engineering (hands-on with code), and multi-cloud platform technologies on large-scale projects to be an impactful hands-on contributor and leader providing recommendations.

Required Skills:

  • 10-15 years of experience including data architecture, data engineering, and data management building large scale solutions

  • Experience on digital transformation within Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain
  • Expertise in Information Architecture
  • Data Governance and modeling experience
  • Hands-on experience writing code and creating POCs from scratch in SQL, Python, or other languages 
  • Consulting mind-set and ability to provide recommendations and share best practices

  • Experience with multiple cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS, Snowflake, etc.) and building out infrastructures and data pipelines.

  • Experience in Azure stack (Azure Factory, ML Studio, Databricks, etc.)

  • Experience with AI/ML technologies such as OpenAI and Kubeflow (ML tool for Kubernetes)

  • Strong communication skills and collaborative.
