Job Summary
Heitmeyer is seeking a Forecasting and Planning Analyst for a fully remote direct hire opportunity to join our banking client’s Finance team that supports business decisions and processes through forecasting and planning. This role offers a competitive compensation package and benefits. This remote role has required travel once a quarter and must reside in one of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, GA, LA, MN, NC, NV, TN, TX, VA.

Job Description:
Working on a small team, the Forecasting and Planning Analyst will be responsible for forecasting, budgeting, and assessing historical trends, using Excel for profitability analysis and reports, preparing quarterly statements and balance sheets, build reports and communicate financial performance, risks, and provide recommendations to senior leadership. A successful individual will be proactive and able to work independely with minimal supervision.

Required Skills:

• 4-5+ years of overall experience in financials (forecasting, profitability, budgeting)
• 2 years of banking in this type of role
• Advanced Excel experience
• Must be able to read and understand code to pull data, create reports, and tell a story
• Bachelor’s Degree is required (accounting finance, economics, mathematics or related field)
• Very organized with strong prioritization and time management skills
• Self-driven and takes initiative
• Problem-solves an issue through research and figuring it out independently
• Quick learner with the ability to take excellent notes and retain information

Preferred Skills (nice-to-have):

• Capital Stress Testing
• ProfitStar for profit and budgeting
• SQL and SAS
