Location: Cleveland/Akron, Columbus, Buffalo, Albany, NY

Heitmeyer Consulting is currently hiring a Tech Support Lead or Specialist who will be involved in Embedded Banking (encompassing BaaS, Open Banking, ERP Integration, Embedded Finance, Gateway and more) which is a top priority for its bank client.  The work will support the growing demand of Fintech partners and tech savvy corporate clients. In this role, you will own and oversee production support and development focused on owning the development, implementation, assessment, and support of one or more components of an environment, application, or platform.
The selected candidate will possess the following skills:

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the Corporate Banking APIs, which provide core banking (ACH, wire, etc.) and reporting/forecasting efficiencies/capabilities that integrate to core systems and data marts.
• Supporting the Sandbox environment for API troubleshooting/testing.
• Ensuring documentation of specifications for APIs is current.
• Creating and setting best practices for monitoring and reporting on code for work assigned
• Working closely with cross-organizational development and support teams to ensure issues are resolved quickly and efficiently
• Working with API clients and Fintech partners for troubleshooting
• Performing code reviews
• Serving as the deep technical expert on the team; owning training program for resources on the team.
• Own variance process for new and renewing variances.
• Applying proper security and architectural standards for code development.
• Recommending standards and best practices across the entire bank for technology support
• Displaying outward thinking
• Builds a high-performing team of production support resources both on-shore and off-shore; teaches problem-solving techniques and helps the team become better problem-solvers for themselves

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 3 years of experience of developing APIs: HTTP/HTTS, REST, SOAP, Java, microservices
• 3 years of experience working with relational databases; SQL; stored procs
• 3 years of experience with DevOps concepts, CI/CD, testing automation
• Skilled problem solver
• Flexible and adaptable attitude
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Information Science or Information Systems Management or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a Lead role
• Experience working on teams that have employed agile and lean methodologies.
• Experience with API Management tools and API Developer portals
• Experience with WebMethods Integration Server
• Experience with Commercial Banking project/applications
• Experience with automated builds & processes, scripts
• Experience with the following tools & technologies:  Docker, Jenkins, Selenium, GIT, Swagger, SonarQube.
