Job Title: Tech Writer
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid 2 days on-site One Vanderbilt Ave)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Technical Writer to join our team that focuses on bank information security within cyber and technology. This person will be supporting the creation of internal memos focused on technical risk and internal audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking operations, risk management practices, and auditing processes, combined with exceptional writing skills and a background working with global regulators. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to clearly communicate technical concepts and audit findings in a concise and accessible manner for internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and write clear, accurate, and well-structured internal memos, reports, and documentation focused on technology risk.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand technical information and requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership to support risk reporting narratives and activities.
- Translate complex technical, legal, and regulatory language into understandable and actionable content for internal audiences, including management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all internal memos align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements, including accuracy, clarity, and confidentiality.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and technical advancements that may impact risk management and internal auditing processes.
- Review and update existing documents to ensure they reflect the latest compliance guidelines and audit standards.
- Support training and knowledge-sharing initiatives by preparing instructional materials and presenting information in both written and verbal formats when needed.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear, concise content.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Information Systems, Business, or Finance).
- Proven experience in technical writing, preferably in a banking, financial services, regulatory or audit environment.
- Investment banking, capital markets and or wholesale banking highly preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications related to risk management or auditing (e.g., CRISC, CISA, CIA) are a plus.
