Location: 100% remote

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Appian Developer to join our banking client’s digital transformation program involved in building a digital “trust management platform” using modern FinTech capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance of applications.
  • Implement new technologies and adhere to development standards using the bank’s existing Appian PaaS environment.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and UX Design teams to produce design artifacts guiding development.
  • Author systems architecture documentation
  • Produce risk-based test plans 
  • Recommend and execute the implementation of new features as they are released.

Required Skills:

  • 5-7 years of software development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Appian, including:
  • Appian Associate Developer Certification.
  • Experience with Appian version 23.1 or newer.
  • Proficiency with Synced Records, Integration Objects, and Advanced SAIL UI development.
  • Experience with Appian application administration (process monitoring, memory and resource management, package management and deployment, security modeling
  • Database experience with either MariaDB/MySQL or MS SQL Server
  • Unit testing of Appian objects and process models.
  • Technical leadership qualities, problem-solving skills, effective communication, time-management, cross-functional team coordination

    Nice-to-Have Skills:

    • Full stack software engineering, object-oriented languages (preferably C# in .NET or Java for Appian plugins), front-end JavaScript/HTML frameworks (preferably Angular).
    • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Figma, ServiceNow.
    • Familiarity with software packaging tools (preferably NuGet and NPM).
    • Experience with source code management tools (preferably Gitlab).
    • Some experience with SIEM tools
    • Analytics and Reporting skills.
    • Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Financial industry experience.
