Job Title: Risk Reporting Lead  
Job Summary:
Heitmeyer Consulting is currently seeking an experienced Risk Reporting Lead for a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our financial services clients. This individual will be tasked with overseeing and enhancing the framework within a regulatory remediation environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in regulatory remediation and risk management, combined with a proven ability to interpret, synthesize, and communicate complex data and insights to senior leadership. This role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to drive transparency and rigor across remediation reporting processes.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, production, and continuous improvement of regulatory remediation reporting across all workstreams.
  • Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with internal governance and external regulatory expectations.
  • Maintain a high level of rigor and consistency throughout the remediation reporting lifecycle.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify key trends, emerging risks, and areas requiring management attention.
  • Translate reporting outputs into actionable insights and clear narratives for senior leadership.
  • Identify nuances and interdependencies across remediation activities and communicate them effectively.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure remediation plans and reporting align with strategic priorities and regulatory commitments.
  • Support oversight forums by preparing insightful, executive-quality materials and commentary.
  • Ensure documentation and evidence meet regulatory and audit standards.
  • Drive standardization and efficiency across the remediation reporting process.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to align reporting with strategic goals and ensure key messages are communicated effectively.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing transparent updates on remediation progress and challenges.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in risk management, regulatory remediation, or risk reporting within a financial institution.
  • Prior experience working at a Category III or Category IV bank.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing reporting for regulatory or audit remediation programs.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to engage with and present to executive and board-level stakeholders.
