Business Systems Analyst (Contract)
Location: Minneapolis, Chicago, Evansville — open to strong remote candidates with deep Abrigo expertise
Overview
We’re seeking a Business Systems Analyst who can step in quickly to document business requirements, develop clear test cases, and support a team in the middle of a transformation toward more Agile ways of working. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities

Gather, document, and manage detailed business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Develop test cases and support testing cycles to ensure solutions meet business needs.

Create process flows, diagrams, and documentation to support business and technical teams.

Collaborate with cross-functional partners working in Sprints (team is evolving toward Agile but not fully there).

Help identify and resolve business problems through structured analysis and critical thinking.

Work with stakeholders to clarify needs and ensure alignment on solution outcomes.
Top Skills & Experience

Requirements documentation & test case development (must-have).

Strong problem-solving ability — must be able to describe approaches and past examples of solving business problems.

Experience working in environments moving toward Agile; comfortable operating with some ambiguity.

Ability to build clear flowcharts, process maps, and structured documentation.

Experience writing high-quality user stories, requirements, and test cases.
Nice-to-Have Experience

Abrigo platform experience (highly preferred but not required; candidates with strong Abrigo experience will receive priority).

Experience with commercial banking platforms.
