Lead Automation Developer
About the Role:
We’re looking for a hands-on technical leader to drive automation strategy and execution for large-scale digital initiatives. In this role, you’ll shape the automation vision, build and maintain robust frameworks, and mentor a talented team to deliver high-quality software at speed. What You’ll Do:
- Lead automation efforts for enterprise-level projects, ensuring quality and efficiency across releases.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts using Ruby/Cucumber and related tools.
- Translate functional requirements into scalable, automated test solutions for functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize delivery processes and improve testing standards.
- Train and mentor team members on automation best practices and emerging technologies.
- Participate in product design discussions and influence technical decisions to enhance testability.
- Stay ahead of industry trends to introduce innovative tools and techniques that elevate quality assurance.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5–7 years of QA experience with strong automation expertise.
- Proficiency in Ruby/Cucumber and experience with frameworks like SpecFlow.
- Solid understanding of TDD, ATDD, and modern SDLC practices.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA/ADO, Xray/Zephyr, SQL Server, and web technologies (HTML, JavaScript).
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (Ruby, Java, or C# preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience designing automation frameworks and performance testing (e.g., JMeter).
- Familiarity with Ruby gems, MVC frameworks, and reusable script patterns.
- Database expertise (Oracle, MS SQL) and service testing experience.
- Active participation in open-source communities is a plus.
