Job Description: Business Project / Program Manager (Conversions & Integrations)

Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Business Project/Program Manager to support complex integration, conversion, and change?event initiatives. This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, can operate “in the weeds,” and has the ability to manage a small but critical workstream within a larger program. This is not an IT project management role—we need business-side executors who understand operational change, colleague readiness, and organizational transitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day execution of a defined project or program workstream, ensuring progress, issue resolution, and clear communication across stakeholders.
  • Support business-side activities for conversions, integrations, and organizational change events, including colleague impact assessment, process transitions, readiness, and training coordination.
  • Operate effectively in an evolving, loosely defined environment—helping build processes, structures, and documentation as the program grows.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure smooth integration of colleagues, workflows, and customer?facing processes from acquired or transitioning organizations.
  • Conduct detailed planning and execution for change-management deliverables, including communications, readiness tracking, playbooks, and post?conversion support.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across operations, product, risk, HR, and leadership teams to support end?to?end transition activities.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps within your workstream; escalate and drive resolution as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in business-side project or program management (not IT PMO), ideally within environments undergoing conversions, integrations, reorganizations, or other major change events.
  • Background in banking, financial services, or wealth is a strong plus (retail, commercial, or wealth).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage colleague?impacting change, including transitions, onboarding, process shifts, and readiness preparation.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity—able to build structure, define processes, and drive clarity as the program evolves.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with cross?functional teams and leaders.
  • Self-starter with the ability to execute independently and deliver results in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A “doer” who can independently manage a small but critical slice of a larger program.
  • Strong business operations background with hands-on experience in change events.
  • Able to support colleague transitions and organizational integration with professionalism and empathy.
  • Not overly technical—focused on business execution, process transitions, and team readiness.
