Job Title: Metadata Analyst

Heitmeyer Consulting is currently seeking a Metadata Analyst for a direct-hire opportunity with one of our clients in Columbus, Ohio. The selected candidate must consider data as a strategic asset, evangelize the value of good data and insights, are passionate about developing business requirements for metadata data, and have a deep understanding of implementing metadata and reference data capabilities.
Job Description:

• Work with business data curators to implement enterprise business glossary/data catalog within an agile framework.
• Define and execute tactical enhancements based on business needs and overall metadata management strategy.
• Manage metadata repository containing business terms, critical data elements, and technical metadata.
• Support the implementation of metadata management solution based on business needs.
• Create and maintain documentation related to the metadata repository.
• Ensure compliance with data and information security policies.
• Responsible for maintaining quality and integrity of the metadata tools.

Job Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with a Meta Data Mgmt. tool.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong technical skills and business acumen to communicate translate the technical details to the business stakeholders.
• Collaborative, team-focused, delivery experience.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-developed negotiation, influencing, consensus building, and partnership skills.
• Knowledgeable and experience with Data Management process, systems and technologies.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience working with tools such as: Rocket Data Intelligence/Rochade(formerly ASG), Collibra, Alation, or Informatica as a Meta Data Management tool.
