Job Title: Technical Project Manager    
Location:  100% remote

Heitmeyer Consulting is currently hiring a Technical Project Manager to join one of our bank clients.  This individual will be responsible for providing project management and leadership experience to a loan conversion project involving moving from one platform to another platform.  This individual will be accountable for leading work streams that impact multiple Lines of Business.  The project will be managed from conception through implementation utilizing standard project management, change management and risk management methodologies and concepts and interfaces with multiple areas including Product Owners, Lines of Business and Technology. 


  • Work with the project team to define and manage scope, objectives, requirements, deliverables, and value proposition that support the overall project goals.
  • Develop integrated project plan; identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths; and track/report project checkpoints as well as status while adhering to project policy standards.
  • Understands various project delivery methodologies such as waterfall, agile, etc.
  • Leads communication planning, execution and reporting with project team members; liaises with key stakeholders.
  • Develop change management planning, design and implementation including communication and training.
  • Identifies, tracks, escalates and resolves issue conflicts; performs impact analysis and prioritization; manages dependencies and track/monitors; and escalates risk with corrective/mitigating actions
  • Responsible for gathering estimates from resources needed to achieve project goals; tracks utilization; determines and assesses need for additional staff and/or vendors.
  • Responsible for, consolidates, and continuously manages project financials; including the forecasting and budgeting as required by project and company standards. Independently facilitates and executes budgetary requests.
  • Responsible for communicating and coordinating individual project stream goals with the overall project manager and project plan. 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of project management delivery experience with a nice blend of experience working with both the business and technology.  Able to bridge the gap between business and technology
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Excellent leadership competencies; organized, facilitator, communicator
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze & solve complex problems
  • Possess strong organizational, written, verbal, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Prior banking / financial services experience
  • Prior experience working with Jira / Confluence
  • Experience in both Waterfall and Agile environments with the ability to navigate in either.
  • Must have prior strong experience in creating a project plan from inception to project completion

Preferred Skills: 

  • Project Management Certified and/or Scrum Master Certification
  • 2+ years of Consumer Loan experience
  • Experience in the Wealth Management / Private Banking lines of business
  • Prior experience withing with the AFS product suite
  • Experience in any / all of the following:
    • Conversion
    • Reporting & Statements
    • Project integration points i.e., access provisioning, training, Help Desk scripts, procedures, meeting Coordination, etc.)
