Title: Technical Scrum Master
Location: Onsite in Phoenix, 4 days per week
Duration: 12 Month Plus Contract
Overview
We are seeking a Technical Scrum Master with deep experience in enterprise systems integration and API driven environments. This role is ideal for someone with a technical business analyst mindset who understands the business impact of technology decisions and can drive delivery across complex, multi-vendor ecosystems. You will be deeply involved in the technical integration of platforms and centralizing enterprise processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
- Act as a technical facilitator connecting the dots between business goals and integration requirements
- Drive delivery across API centric integration projects, ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams and external vendors
- Participate in and guide technical discussions related to data flows, system interoperability, and platform integration
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master. Experience should include running daily standups, sprint planning, sprint review, running retrospective, and performing backlog refinement. Experience also includes coaching, working with product owners, and reviewing velocity and predictability to drive improvement.
- Deep technology understanding with a preferred background working in a technical role (technical analyst, developer, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to not only facilitate, but also participate in, technical discussions to help the various teams connect the dots and deliver solutions.
- Experience delivering work in an integration ecosystem including understanding APIs. Extensive experience working with vendors to integrate solutions and deliver business capabilities. (Not looking for custom application development background).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to present to tech review boards and communicate with executive stakeholders.
- Proven ability to quickly build relationships and rapport while tactfully driving needed outcomes.
Nice to Have
- Banking or Payments experience is a plus but not required.
- Scrum Master Certifications are a plus but not required.
