Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Engineering Manager to join a financial institution’s Enterprise Architecture team. This role is pivotal in driving data transformation initiatives, including DaaS Analytics and Customer 360. You’ll lead a team of data professionals and architect modern, scalable data solutions that support strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Design and implement secure, scalable data pipelines and architectures across data lakes and data warehouses.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver impactful solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across all systems and processes.
- Drive improvements in data workflows for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Introduce new tools and technologies to enhance the data environment and support transformation.
- Oversee timelines, deliverables, and team performance to ensure successful project execution.
- Promote best practices in code quality, testing, documentation, and CI/CD processes.
Must-Have Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with deep expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and modern data architectures.
- 2+ years of people management or team leadership experience.
- Must possess architectural knowledge and understand when and how to implement stored procedures, SSIS jobs, and DevOps best practices.
- Strong background in SSIS and SQL (not hands-on with SQL, but must understand it and guide).
- Object-Oriented Programming background (e.g., Java, Python, or Scala).
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD.
