Role: Infrastructure Regulatory Response Specialist / Project Manager
Location: Chicago (highly preferred) / Tempe – hybrid 3 days / week onsite
Contract: September 2025 start
Our client, a Global Financial Institution headquartered in Chicago, is looking for a regulatory specialist who can manage regulatory responses and lead the team on behalf of the 1st line infrastructure business. The successful candidate will be a proactive “go-getter” detail-oriented consultant who thrives in a fast-paced environment, preferably with a regulatory/audit response background, to support our client’s ITSM Governance, Risk & Control team, with a focus on Change & Release Management and ServiceNow.
Example responsibilities include:
- Work in the 1st Line of Defense alongside Control Owners to respond to various regulatory and audit requests, ensuring responses are tracked and completed in a sufficient manner for the ITSM control team.
- Lead team standups often with 30+ participants.
- Manage the tracker of responses and ensure up to date.
- Organize and manage the flow of work for the 1st line to package up and deliver to audit to meet SLAs and deliver on time.
- Sit in the 1st line – when receive a request, collect the evidence, draft/complete initial review of responses, provide feedback, ensure feedback incorporated, submit to the 3rd line and update tracker.
- Coordinate with Control Owners to incorporate feedback – help define controls and integrate to BAU. For example, when a change is made in a system – what controls are in place to reduce the risk when the change is released into the IT environment and the system is updated.
- Be a point of contact and assist Control Owners with reviews and guide them through the regulatory / audit documentation response, review, and sign-off process.
- Leverage ADO (Azure DevOps), SharePoint, Confluence for managing documentation and status.
Must have skills:
- Regulatory background – manage documentation process / requirements for regulatory response and audit purposes in a financial services environment
- Excellent documentation skills and ability to map processes and controls to regulatory / audit standards
- Infrastructure / ITSM – basic understanding preferably for Change & Release Management and ServiceNow
- ADO (Azure DevOps)
- Excellent communication – presentation, written and verbal
- Written documentation skills specific to audit / regulatory expectations
- Organized and detail oriented
- Proactive “go getter” – can lead a team
- Analytic thinker / problem solver
- Thrives in a fast paced environment
Preferred skills:
- Infrastructure IT Risk & Control background
- Service Now (SNOW) as a GRC tool
- MRA / MRIA / Consent Order experience helpful
- Legal / risk / audit / Big 4 / consulting background highly preferred
