Title: Business Systems Analyst
Duration: Contract through July of 2026
Location: 100% Remote -(EST timezone preferred)
Must Haves
- 5+ years of mortgage business analysis experience supporting Encompass LOS (required).
- 5+ years of experience documenting functional and non-functional business requirements using an established methodology (i.e., Use Case, UML, BRD, FSD, etc.).
- 5+ years of functional testing experience, specifically UAT and Regression testing
- Familiarity with Kensie Mae integrations and Encompass plug-ins for imaging or delivery workflows.
- Knowledge of lending processes and regulatory frameworks (TRID, Reg B, HMDA, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to partner with configuration teams, vendors, and business units to drive successful implementations.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to translate business concepts into structured deliverables.
- Highly organized self-starter who can manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced program environment.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Loan Origination System (LOS) Business Analyst with deep expertise in residential mortgage operations and supporting technologies, including ICE Encompass, Blend, and Optimal Blue.
This role will focus on requirements gathering, process mapping, testing, and documentation (not hands-on configuration) to support the modernization of the lending platform across Retail, TPO, and Home Equity channels.
The Business Analyst will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring operational needs are translated into accurate, efficient, and compliant system solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Analysis
- Partner with business stakeholders, lending operations, and compliance to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for Encompass, Blend, and Optimal Blue enhancements.
- Define business rules, process flows, and data mappings that support end-to-end lending processes to build-out the target LOS.
- Conduct gap analysis between current-state and future-state workflows to identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Maintain clear documentation of requirements, test results, and decision logs in program repositories (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint).
Process Design & Documentation
- Develop detailed process maps, functional specifications, and use cases for LOS/POS/PPE functionality.
- Collaborate with Configuration Analysts and Engineers to translate business needs into technical requirements for configuration.
- Maintain traceability from business requirements through test cases and production validation.
Testing & Validation
- The qualified resource will also be utilized in the capacity of quality assurance and UAT support.
- Coordinate defect triage, test results documentation, and regression testing support.
- Develop and execute test plans and scripts for target systems and integrations.
- Validate integrations across key lending systems and downstream systems (i.e., Settlement Services, Servicing, Accounting, Secondary, etc.).
