Heitmeyer has a banking client that has a need within their Asset and Wealth Management business for a Trust Officer 3 who can effectively manage and administer trust accounts for clients in the market. This role is based in Bartlesville, OK.
Job Description:
The Trust Officer 3 is responsible for maintaining and expanding customer relationships while administering the details of the trust account. This individual will work closely with clients along with key business partners to support the needs of the customer while ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements and bank policies.
Top Required Skills:
- MUST have at least 3 years of experience in Trust Administration and understand banking products and services with ability to manage administration, development and maintenance of complex trust and IRA accounts.
- Designation of CTFA and/or CFP or equivalent training is required along with completion of Personal Trust Curriculum Level 1, 2 & 3 ABA.
- Strong working knowledge of Advisor system, trust accounting systems, accounting principles, and fiduciary management techniques – investments, tax, legal.
- Solid understanding of all regulations, laws, policies including BSA/AML and associated compliance training.
- Independent resource who shows initiative and willingness to engage with clients and the community while utilizing problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues and provide financial solutions.
Nice-to-have:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field.
- Legal experience and background are beneficial.
Top Responsibilities:
- Maintain and expand existing customer relationships while soliciting new business and promoting bank products and services.
- Oversee a team of 2 direct reports and provide support with feedback and continuous empowerment.
- Perform complex administrative duties that could include Reg 9 reviews, non-discretionary distributions, monitoring/approving overdrafts and preparing client reports and special projects.
- Work to resolve client issues through close working relationship with tax service, investment and operation departments.
- Maintain and develop extensive client, professional, public and government contacts for communication on bank trust and investment matters.
- Ensure compliance with all bank policy, regulations and laws including BSA/AML requirements while keeping current on industry issues and the regulatory environment.
