QA Automation Engineer
Contract: 12-months with potential for longer term extension or permanent hire
Columbus, OH – sits onsite 3 days onsite
Job Description:
This hybrid role will serve as the QA Test Automation Engineer to support the end to end testing plans for the development of new microservices and integrations into the new deposit product platform. You will be part of a team of engineers to ensure scalable, secure and performing solutions in a x-matrix environment while confirming all regulatory requirements are met.

Core TOSCA Expertise (Must Have)
- Hands on experience with Tricentis TOSCA
- (test case design, execution, optimization, and maintenance)
Strong hands-on working experience with:
- TOSCA Modules & XModules framework development
- TOSCA Scratchbook
- TOSCA Execution Lists & TestSheets
- TOSCA Mainframe Automation mainly
- TOSCA API Testing (REST/SOAP)
Expertise in TOSCA Object Steering Strategies:
- Xpath, CSS, ID-based steering
- Steering browser, desktop, SAP, and custom controls
- Background in leading and coaching team of manual testers to transition to automation environment while working in a mainframe environment.
- Critical to have automation mindset and strong learning agility where can pickup tools/technology quickly.
- Must have significant experience developing automation testing:
- Automate tasks
- Integrate across systems
- Enables custom reports and dashboards
- Should have experience with test automation tools – Karate, Playwright, Selenium. Helpful to have experience with Tosca for model-based test automation.
- Strong background in agile processes and must have ability to work with JIRA tool for user stories.
- Outstanding partnership ability to coordinate plans with development teams and QE organization.
- Strong communication skills that can foster partnership with all stakeholders and support knowledge sharing on automation for the rest of the team.
Nice-to-have:
- Domain experience with consumer deposit products and pricing beneficial.
- Banking experience preferred but not required.
- Should have experience working in highly regulated industry with large focus on risk/compliance requirements within SDLC.
- Tosca no code model-based test automation platform beneficial but not required.
Top Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated tests for Java services and APIs leveraging tools like Karate, Playwright or Selenium.
- Lead effort to drive automation framework and environment across quality engineering organization.
- Validate integrations with new deposit product modules and core banking systems.
- Use BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) for behavior-driven testing.
- Collaborate with developers and DevOps for test coverage and performance.
