Senior Project Manager – Technology & Regulatory Initiatives
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with a demonstrated record of successfully delivering technology-driven regulatory initiatives and business-sponsored projects requiring IT application changes. This role is critical to advancing the organization’s governance, risk management, and compliance objectives by leading complex regulatory projects, remediating audit findings, and closing control gaps in alignment with regulatory and industry standards.

You will partner closely with Technology, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and senior leadership to ensure regulatory initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and in full compliance with internal and external requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of regulatory and compliance-related projects, including audit findings remediation and control gap resolution
- Develop and maintain project charters, detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and budgets
- Ensure adherence to established project management standards and best practices
Regulatory & Compliance Management
- Manage technology projects aligned to major regulatory frameworks such as the Dodd-Frank Act, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and similar regulatory initiatives
- Support audit and examination activities through accurate documentation and timely issue resolution
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Compliance, Risk, Audit, Legal, Technology, and Business teams
- Clearly define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics
- Facilitate effective communication across all organizational levels
Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management
- Proactively identify project risks, issues, and interdependencies
- Develop mitigation strategies, escalation paths, and contingency plans
- Drive resolution to ensure delivery commitments are met
Governance & Reporting
- Produce and deliver project status reports, executive dashboards, and leadership updates
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to support governance reviews, audits, and regulatory examinations
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance compliance processes, streamline workflows, and improve delivery efficiency
- Promote automation and best practices where applicable
Team Leadership
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to project team members
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results-driven execution
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience managing technology projects, with 2+ years focused on regulatory or compliance-driven initiatives
- Prior experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries is strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience managing technology projects involving regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX)
- Working knowledge of control frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, or ISO 27001 is a plus
- Strong ability to manage complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities
- Skilled at tailoring communication for executive-level presentations and leadership updates
- Proficiency with project management and delivery tools (e.g., Azure DevOps (ADO), JIRA, Microsoft Project)
- Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
