Job Summary:
Heitmeyer is seeking an experienced Encompass Configuration Analyst to join our regional banking client’s growing mortgage technology team. This role is focused on Encompass system maintenance, hands on configuration, coding updates, and troubleshooting second level support issues. The ideal candidate is someone who deeply understands Encompass, has configured multiple client instances, and can help maintain strong delivery velocity and work through any configuration backlog.
Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing Encompass system maintenance, including updates, configuration changes, coding adjustments, and troubleshooting across the platform.
- Analyze, triage, and resolve 2nd-level support issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Execute configuration and backlog work to support team velocity and contribute to our future state system goals.
- Collaborate with the Tech Lead and Product Owner to intake and deliver work from the team backlog.
- Partner with business users, vendor contacts, and internal technology stakeholders depending on the nature of assigned work or user stories.
- Ensure system changes follow best practices, with attention to performance, stability, and long term maintainability.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve Encompass workflows, automation, and overall configuration quality.
- May mentor peers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
Required:
- 7-10 years of overall professional experience
- 3-5+ years of hands on Encompass configuration experience, ideally across multiple client environments.
- Strong understanding of Encompass workflows, personas, business rules, custom forms, input forms, automation, and system administration.
- Strong customer service orientation with practical knowledge of loan origination processes, enabling clear interpretation of user requests and business needs.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with vendor integrations and third-party interfaces related to Encompass.
- Experience working from a structured backlog in an agile environment.
- Track record of mentoring junior configuration analysts or administrators.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience supporting teams moving from a current operational state to a more scalable, future-state Encompass environment.
- Ability to manage configuration at scale while maintaining performance and stability.
