Job Summary:
Heitmeyer has a banking client that has a need within their Cloud Services team for a Security/Cloud Platform Engineer to support the design, deployment, configuration and optimization of the AWS Cloud environment from a Security and Risk Management perspective. This role is based in either Oklahoma or Dallas, TX.
Job Description:
The Security/Cloud Platform Engineer is a multi-threaded role critical to both operational and project level initiatives related to the corporate server and compute infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for the installation and configuration of the Wiz Admin Controller while designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security architecture for our cloud environment (AWS). You will play a critical part in protecting our digital assets and sensitive data by developing and enforcing security policies, automating security processes, and responding to emerging threats. - Require experience with installing and configuring the Wiz Admin Controller (Cloud Native Application Protection Platform – CNAPP). Should have background in establishing it from the ground up in the environment. Focus on managing risk with security tools and services including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, event management, and admin controller.
- Must have significant experience – prefer 5+ years – of cloud development within AWS involving design, deployment, configuration and optimization.
- Require experience in development with Terraform and working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and programming languages (Python) to automate security operations along with working knowledge of version control – prefer GitLab.
- Must have very strong communication skills that support a collaborative environment with close working interaction across Risk/Information Security and Technology along with LOB partners.
- Leader who can also serve as SME for team and mentor Cloud Service team members regarding security aspects.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and own Wiz Admin Controller installation, configuration and build out to support reduced risk environment.
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud service architecture and configurations to minimize risk.
- Develop, deploy and manage security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and security information and event management systems (SIEM).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams – especially with Information Security – to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of cloud services.
- Automate operational tasks and processes to optimize cloud service operations as leverage Terraform and IaC to streamline actions and ensure compliance standards are met.
- Monitor cloud services, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements as needed.
