Job Summary:
Heitmeyer has banking client that has a need within their Software Quality Engineering team for a Salesforce Quality Engineer to support their CRM platform. This individual will work closely with line of business partners and across the technology organization to support the release of the new functionality and support the end to end testing lifecycle. The role is available for full remote work.
Required Skills (Must Haves)
- Strong hands?on experience testing Salesforce applications
- Deep understanding of Salesforce objects, components, and data models
- Experience working in Agile / DevSecOps environments
- Proficiency with JIRA and Zephyr for test management and defect tracking
- Manual and automated test case development and execution – prefer strong automation background
- Strong defect triage, backlog management, and root?cause analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate cross?functionally
Nice-to-Have / Preferred Skills
- Experience testing nCino (highly desirable)
- API testing experience (Axios preferred)
- Web automation using Playwright
- Mobile automation using Appium
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Cucumber (BDD) and Chai assertions
- ISTQB certification
Detailed Job Responsibilities
Quality Strategy & Governance
- Own and execute the overall quality strategy for Salesforce and nCino applications, ensuring alignment with BOK’s enterprise quality standards and regulatory expectations
- Define, refine, and continuously improve test strategies, test plans, and defect management processes across agile delivery teams
- Ensure consistent adherence to documented QA methodologies, standards, and best practices throughout the SDLC
- Serve as a quality advocate within the product team, influencing design decisions early to prevent defects rather than detect them late
Manual & Automated Testing Execution
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases across Salesforce, nCino, and integrated platforms
- Build and maintain robust test suites to support regression, functional, integration, and UAT testing efforts
- Collaborate with the automation team to expand and optimize automated test coverage for web, mobile, and API layers
- Contribute directly to automation efforts leveraging tools such as Playwright (web), Appium (mobile), Axios (API), Cucumber, and Chai
Defect Management & Continuous Improvement
- Lead defect triage activities, ensuring accurate prioritization, root?cause analysis, and timely resolution of issues
- Monitor defect trends and implement preventative quality measures to reduce escaped defects and improve overall product stability
- Develop and track quality metrics and actionable insights to drive continuous improvement across teams
- Partner with engineering and product teams to identify systemic issues and recommend long?term quality improvements
Salesforce & nCino Platform Expertise
- Perform in-depth testing of Salesforce objects, workflows, integrations, security models, and data structures
- Validate complex CRM and nCino business processes, including client onboarding, lending workflows, and data integrations
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and proper handling of sensitive financial information across systems
Agile & DevSecOps Collaboration
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives)
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and release managers to ensure quality is built into every sprint
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices by integrating testing activities into automated deployment workflows
- Utilize tools such as JIRA and Zephyr for test management, defect tracking, and reporting
Autonomy & Leadership Expectations
- Operate with minimal supervision, independently driving tasks to completion while knowing when to engage senior peers or leadership
- Proactively identify quality gaps, risks, and opportunities without waiting for direction
- Serve as a trusted quality partner to both technical and business stakeholders
