Job Summary: 
Heitmeyer has banking client that has a need within their Mortgage Technology team for an Encompass Software Engineer who can modernize and optimize the tool to improve efficiencies across all processes – application, processing, underwriting, closing – with improved workflow while meeting all compliance requirements.  Want overall solid resources who possess both strong technical skills with Encompass, API development, system integrations and CI/CD pipelines along with strong background Mortgage business to support functions to drive improved customer and employee experience.  This role is open to candidates located in the following areas – Columbus, OH; Wilmington, DE, Plano, TX.        

Job Description: 
The Encompass Software Engineer will build improved functionality and automation through Encompass, developing APIs, system integrations and CI/CD pipelines.  This individual will build, maintain and monitor configuration standards and oversee ongoing administration of projects while supporting link between Design and Development teams and managing implementation and testing.    

Top Required Skills:

  1. Must have significant experience as an Encompass Software Engineer who has experience configuring, customizing and maintaining Encompass LOS.
  2. Background with Encompass plugins, API calls, Object Oriented Programming (OOP) framework and version control tools – GitHub.    
  3. Require developing and maintaining APIs, skilled in JavaScript (particularly in context of Encompass Web) and working with CI/CD pipelines.  
  4. Critical to have strong knowledge of mortgage origination processes – application, processing, underwriting, closing – across lending (retail, wholesale and correspondent) channels. 
  5. In depth knowledge of financial service industry and the aligned IT systems and working within cloud native experience. 
  6. Ability to interpret business and technical objectives to identify challenges and provide innovative solutions with focus on automation and modernizing code. 
  7. Strong communication with ability to work closely with other team members and stakeholders from Product, Operations, Business Channels, Compliance.
