Heitmeyer Consulting is working with one of our banking clients to find an experienced Cloud Delivery Manager to provide delivery leadership and execution oversight for cloud and infrastructure initiatives. This role was created following recent leadership departures and is critical to ensuring delivery continuity, prioritization, and execution excellence across cloud-related efforts.
The Cloud Delivery Manager will act as a hands-on delivery leader, coordinating work across infrastructure, architecture, and implementation teams while ensuring timelines, risks, and dependencies are actively managed. This is not a hands-on engineering role, but a delivery and execution leadership position.
This role exists to stabilize, coordinate, and drive delivery execution for the banks cloud initiatives. The Cloud Delivery Manager will provide structure, governance, and visibility to ensure cloud work is delivered predictably and aligned to business priorities during a period of transition. This will be a remote role with an initial 3-month contract duration with potential to extend.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end delivery oversight for cloud and infrastructure initiatives.
- Act as a Project Manager / Scrum-style delivery lead, adapting methodology as needed.
- Coordinate work across multiple technical teams to prioritize initiatives and manage dependencies.
- Establish and maintain delivery artifacts including plans, timelines, RAID logs, and status reporting.
- Ensure work is completed within established timelines and quality expectations.
- Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks and issues.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Support delivery governance and execution standards to ensure delivery excellence.
- Partner closely with infrastructure and cloud leadership to support near-term execution and longer-term stability.
Required Skills (Must-Haves)
- Strong Delivery Management / Project Management experience in enterprise IT environments.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize work across multiple teams.
- Experience managing timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous or transitional environments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Cloud delivery experience (any platform).
- Infrastructure or platform delivery background.
- Agile or Scrum experience (formal certification not required).
- Experience working in regulated or financial services environments.
Preferred / Differentiating Experience
- Exposure to AWS (not required; considered a strong plus).
- Experience supporting cloud integration or enablement efforts.
- Consulting or professional services background.
- Prior experience stepping into delivery roles during organizational change.
Experience Level
- 8–15 years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years in a Delivery Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Project Manager role.
- Senior enough to confidently engage with technical leaders and executive stakeholders.
