Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business/Data Regulatory Reporting Governance Analyst to support the governance, oversight, and risk-based prioritization of our banking client’s Finance-owned regulatory reporting processes. This role sits within a growing team focused on building and enhancing governance frameworks and control environments.
This is a highly cross-functional role requiring a blend of regulatory reporting expertise, risk and controls knowledge, and a process improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with report owners to strengthen governance and controls, identifying, prioritizing, and resolving regulatory reporting issues
- Act as a central coordinator across business, second line partners, data, and technology teams to translate risks into clear, actionable outcomes
- Gather requirements and drive process simplification, standardization, and continuous improvement
- Maintain governance frameworks and documentation, including procedures, control inventories, data lineage, definitions, and ownership structures
- Support internal audits and regulatory exams, including walkthrough coordination, evidence collection, and issue tracking
Required Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of experience in audit, internal controls, risk governance, or regulatory reporting (individual contributor/”doer”)
- Strong background in Finance/Accounting with hands-on regulatory reporting experience
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Call Reports, Y-9C, FR Y-14, CCAR, FDIC 370
- Experience with data governance and data risk concepts; ability to translate data/reporting challenges into actionable insights
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced Excel skills with experience building frameworks, templates, or models
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Axiom or similar regulatory reporting tools
- Exposure to workflow and control management tools (e.g., AFRM)
- CPA or similar certification
