Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join the Engineering Frameworks Team and help build, integrate, and support AI platforms and developer tools used across the organization.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on GCP, Gemini, Vertex AI, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, MCP, Java/Spring Boot, and agentic AI frameworks. The ideal candidate has production experience building AI/LLM solutions and can develop secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable capabilities that improve developer productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain AI platforms, developer tools, frameworks, and shared services used by engineering teams.
- Build and integrate AI capabilities using GCP, Gemini, Vertex AI, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, MCP, and agentic frameworks.
- Design reusable orchestration patterns, integrations, reference implementations, and tools for custom AI agents.
- Develop sequential, multi-agent, and deterministic graph-based workflows.
- Build and support MCP servers and clients that expose tools, resources, and data to AI agents.
- Develop Java/Spring Boot services and REST APIs supporting AI and platform capabilities.
- Integrate AI services with enterprise cloud, security, identity, and development platforms.
- Implement logging, metrics, tracing, token-utilization monitoring, and other observability capabilities.
- Apply security, privacy, access control, responsible AI, governance, and cost-management practices.
- Support development teams in building, deploying, and operating custom agents and AI services.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, testing, and technical design.
- Contribute to documentation, release management, adoption, and continuous improvement of shared AI platforms.
- Mentor junior engineers and share AI engineering best practices across development teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, AI engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience delivering production-quality software solutions.
- Hands-on experience building or integrating AI, LLM, developer-platform, or automation solutions.
- Experience with GCP, Gemini, Vertex AI, or comparable cloud AI platforms.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, APIs, integration patterns, and software design.
- Experience developing Java/Spring Boot REST APIs.
- Working knowledge of React.js or comparable front-end technologies.
- Experience with secure API integrations and OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect.
- Understanding of CI/CD, observability, reliability, security, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Claude Code and GitHub Copilot, including prompts, custom instructions, skills, plugins, or extensions.
- Experience designing and implementing custom AI agents and reusable orchestration patterns.
- Experience with sequential, multi-agent, or deterministic graph-based agent workflows.
- Experience building or integrating MCP servers and clients.
- Experience with A2A or comparable agent-to-agent protocols.
- Experience with Google ADK, Spring AI, LangChain, LangChain4j, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with Gemini Agent Platform / Vertex AI capabilities.
- Knowledge of AI governance, model controls, token limits, rate limits, access policies, and GCP Model Armor.
- Experience with AI observability, including logging, metrics, tracing, token utilization, and operational dashboards.
- Exposure to containers, microservices, and cloud-native architecture.
- Experience with Harness and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.

Ideal Candidate
A hands-on Senior AI Engineer who can take significant technical work from design through production. This person should have strong software engineering fundamentals combined with practical experience building AI/LLM capabilities, custom agents, developer tools, and enterprise integrations.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working across AI engineering, application development, cloud platforms, security, and developer enablement, while helping establish reusable patterns and best practices for enterprise AI.
