Location: 100% Remote (U.S. only, EST hours required)
Duration: 6-month Contract-to-Hire
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Closer to join a regional bank in a fully remote capacity. This role operates on Eastern Standard Time hours and requires flexibility to work overtime during peak volume periods. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to convert to a full-time role after six months.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a pipeline averaging 3+ loan closings per day, targeting 60+ closings per month
- Prepare, review, and deliver accurate Closing Disclosures (CDs) and complete closing packages
- Coordinate closely with processors, underwriters, title companies, and borrowers to ensure timely and efficient closings
- Ensure compliance with all applicable lending regulations, including TRID, RESPA, and tolerance guidelines
- Handle loan changes such as loan amount adjustments and rate extensions
- Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Work extended hours when required based on business volume
Required Skills:
- 3–10+ years of experience as a mortgage loan closer
- Encompass (LOS) experience is required
- Proven experience managing loans from initial disclosure through Closing Disclosure (CD)
- Strong experience with conventional, FHA, and refinance loans
- Hands-on experience preparing and issuing Closing Disclosures and full closing packages
- Deep understanding of TRID, RESPA, and tolerance rules
- Strong work ethic with a proactive, customer-focused mindset
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with closing loans in New York and Texas
- Experience with CEMA or SONYMA closings
- Background in closing construction loans
