Gene Kirby

Executive Vice President

Gene joined the Heitmeyer team in July 2020 as EVP and Managing Director where he focuses on key accounts, provides management oversight to large engagements and helps build relationships with targeted clients. Gene has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry having served in multiple roles across retail banking, commercial banking, marketing, and executive management. Before joining Heitmeyer he was a co-founder and Managing Partner of CE Solutions Group, a consulting firm focused exclusively on the banking industry. Prior to his consulting work, Gene was President of NewAlliance Bank in New Haven, CT where he was responsible for all lines of business within the company. Prior to joining NewAlliance, he was with SunTrust Banks in Atlanta, GA where he was Corporate Executive Vice President responsible for the Retail Line of Business, the Commercial Line of Business, Consumer Product Management, Call Center Operations and Corporate Marketing.

Gene is a former Chairman of the Consumer Bankers Association, active across the financial services industry and involved with multiple charitable and community organizations. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and received his MBA from Duke University. Gene and his wife Cathy live at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Georgia.

Fun Fact: In 2014 Gene was part of a small group of bankers to visit the White House and meet with President Obama.

Andrea Rindler

Manager, Human Resources

Andrea Rindler joined the Heitmeyer Consulting team in 2020 and serves as the Human Resource Manager. Andrea is responsible for leading and managing the overall functions of the HR team. Andrea has over 8 years of Human Resource experience specializing in benefit administration, performance management, employee relations, training & development, and employee engagement. Andrea earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Wright State University.

Andrea and her husband live in Gahanna, OH with their goldendoodle. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, working out at Orange Theory, and cheering on the Cleveland Browns.

Toby Boeckman

Director of Recruiting

Toby joined Heitmeyer Consulting in August 2020 to lead the Recruiting team. Toby brings 10 years of Recruiting and 6 years of leadership. He is responsible for the strategy, leadership, consultant management and direction of the Recruiting Team. Toby has a passion for helping people, fostering relationships and being part of fast-paced, high growth companies.

Prior to joining Heitmeyer Consulting, Toby oversaw Talent Management for a fast growing SAAS company. He was consistently recognized by leadership for his sense of urgency, leading by example, positivity and optimistic mind-set.

Toby and his wife reside in Columbus, OH and have a son and daughter. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outside, and his kids keep him very active.

Davis Stewart

Executive Vice President

Davis joined the Heitmeyer team in July 2020 as EVP and Managing Director where he focuses on relationships with key executives across the financial services industry and provides industry best practices in the payments, credit, and risk practice. Davis is an industry leader in bringing transformational payment technologies to banks that require dramatic cultural and organizational change. Prior to joining Heitmeyer, he founded Davis Stewart Enterprises Inc; a successful bank consulting firm specializing in payments-based innovation, channel, revenue and cost optimization. In 2011 Davis and former customer Gene Kirby founded CE Solutions focusing exclusively on the banking industry bringing the unique perspective of Vendor and banker advice.

Davis brings over 38 year’s industry experience selling and leading organizational change in the financial services industry. He began his career in 1980 at Harland Clarke check printers and was responsible for servicing the 50 largest banks in the US. After leaving Harland Davis was one of the initial managers to develop the eBanking practice for KPMG Consulting, educating customers and equity partners on the potential value of Internet Banking and Bill pay services. That experience morphed into Digital Banking. Prior to forming his own consulting firm Davis worked for several payment solution providers and developed a deep understanding of payment strategies.

Davis is a graduate of the University of Georgia and a frequent speaker at banking conferences.

Caroline Willis

Director of Sales

Caroline Willis joined the Heitmeyer Consulting team in 2021 as our Director of Sales. She is a sales and consulting leader with a passion for empowering people and delivering value to the clients we serve. Caroline is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the account management team firm-wide.

Prior to joining Heitmeyer, Caroline was a top preforming Account Manager who was consistently named an “Impact Player” due to her commitment to core values, results, and her positive and solution-oriented demeanor.

In her spare time, you can find Caroline out on the lake enjoying boats, watersports, and sunshine!

Nick Smith

Executive Vice President

Nick joined the Heitmeyer Consulting team in November 2022 as an Executive Vice President focusing on accelerating the firm’s growth in the Insurance Services vertical. Prior to joining Heitmeyer, Nick most recently spent 12+ years working for a super-regional P&C Carrier. During his tenure, Nick spent time working on both the Personal and Commercial Lines serving in product management leadership positions. Nick was heavily involved in bringing new insurance products to market, launching, and managing telematics programs, and successfully scaled a line of business over 3X while reducing expense ratio over 15 points. Prior to that Nick spent several years working in various roles within operations including serving as a Regional Financial Officer. Nick has deep knowledge of the full insurance lifecycle and a strong grasp of the pressures that carriers face every day. He brings experience designing, implementing, and scaling new and innovative products to support our Insurance clients and possess the knowledge to help them accelerate profit and growth.

Nick and his wife Heather live in New Albany, OH, with their 2 boys, Jordan, and Lucas. Nick is a diehard Ohio State Buckeye fan as well as a reluctant Cleveland Browns fan and is deciding whether to put another generation of Smiths through the pain of being a Browns fan.

Jason Frase

Chief Transformation Officer

Jason joined the Heitmeyer team in August 2021, as Executive Vice President and was recently appointed Chief Transformation Officer for the firm in June 2022. In this role, Jason manages our Advisory and Consulting Services line of business and is responsible for partnering with Heitmeyer clients to deliver execution strategies for large scale programs and strategic initiatives within our Transformation, Payments, and Data practices. In addition, Jason leads our PMO Governance, Program and Project Management, Change Management, Testing and Release Management disciplines that support Heitmeyer’s Fit for Purpose engagement model. Jason is a trusted senior advisor to clients across the financial industry with 20+ years of experience in Bank Operations and Technology leading large, complex transformations across the United States and Canada.

Prior to joining Heitmeyer, Jason was both a customer and most recently a Senior Management Consultant partnering with the firm to deliver key initiatives across several clients. Jason has partnered with clients ranging from banks, card services, software providers / fintech’s to the Big 4 Consulting firms to deliver and execute strategic goals and initiatives. Through these efforts, he has built wealth of experience successfully leading Core Transformations, Business and Technology Platform Migrations, Digital Banking, M&A, Outsourcing, and Payment initiatives.

Jason is an avid University of Alabama supporter and active Board Member for the Tua Foundation, a non-profit organization chaired by Miami Dolphins Quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa dedicated to the support of youth initiatives, health, and wellness for children in Alabama, Florida, and Hawaii. Jason lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with his wife DeAnna and 3 children.

Patty Amici

Finance Manager

Patty joined the Heitmeyer Consulting team in 2004 and has been a key contributor to the overall company growth as a fixture in the back office operations. Patty serves as the Finance Manager and is responsible for payroll, billing, accounts payable and receivable, banking and financial transactions, financial statements and tax returns. Patty has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from The Ohio State University. She lives with her son, dog and cat in Westerville, OH. In her free time Patty enjoys reading, going to the gym and cheering on her Ohio State Buckeyes.

Fun Fact: Patty is allergic to cinnamon.

Sara Leech

CFO

Sara joined the Heitmeyer Consulting team in November 2021 as the Chief Financial Officer. Sara brings over 20 years of experience in finance specializing in business intelligence development, automation and profitability analysis. Prior to joining Heitmeyer, Sara spent nearly 17 years in the legal industry in various financial roles, most recently Director of Finance and Accounting. Sara earned her BSBA and MBA from John Carroll University.

Sara and her husband Bob grew up in Cleveland and are die hard Cleveland sports fans. Currently, they live in Delaware, OH with their 2 children, 2 dogs and a cat. Any spare time is filled with high school and travel sporting events for their son and soccer and gymnastics for their daughter. Sara volunteers as a foster for the Humane Society of Delaware County and serves on the Board of Directors for a local non-profit, Seeds of Caring, that provides volunteer opportunities for young children in the Columbus area.

Jason Mathews

President

Jason joined the Heitmeyer Consulting team in December of 2019 serving as its President. Jason is responsible for providing leadership for overall operations and the growth of the firm. He brings over 20 years of experience including 5 years as a technology professional and almost 16 years in consulting and staffing. Prior to joining Heitmeyer, Jason served as a Principal and District Leader for the largest publicly traded IT Staffing and Services firm in the US. During Jason’s tenure with the firm he served in multiple roles and helped fuel organic company growth from just over $100M in revenue to $2B.

Jason and his wife live in Powell, OH and have a daughter in high school. In his spare time Jason enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working out, playing sports and being outdoors - biking, golfing, hiking, and skiing.

Fun Fact: Jason grew up in rural Virginia on a beef cattle farm

Pat Scott

Partner

Pat joined the ownership group of Heitmeyer Consulting as a Managing Partner in January of 2018. He brings over 20 years of Financial Services experience including severing as Chief Digital Officer for a large insurance company as well as holding multiple leadership positions in national and regional banks. In Pat’s current role he works in concert with Norm and Jason to help guide the strategic direction of the firm and actively engages with customers to identify and drive solutions.

Pat grew up in the Columbus area and currently lives in Upper Arlington with his wife. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their two sons. Pat is an avid golfer and board member of The First Tee.

Norm Heitmeyer

Founder & Partner

Norm is a proven leader in Financial Services through a nearly 16-year career leading teams in both IT and Operations at Bank One. Through that period, he identified a void in the marketplace for a niche focused consulting firm with a specialization in Financial Services which led to the creation of Heitmeyer Consulting. In his current role as Founder and Managing Partner Norm helps drive the strategic direction of the firm as well as focusing on servicing key accounts through collaborating with senior leaders on their strategy and execution of their plans.

Norm and his wife Lee Ann live in Galena, OH and are the proud parents of four children and have 2 wonderful grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys golf, and is an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan…..this is our year…
