ROLE: ITAM Regulatory Consultant (Paralegal)
Contract to 12/15/25 (FTE possible) start June 2025
Location: Chicago or Tempe preferred – 3 days hybrid in office 

Heitmeyer is looking for a detail oriented consultant, preferably with a legal or paralegal background, to support our client’s ITAM Governance, Risk & Control team.  Our client is a global financial institution headquartered in Chicago and the successful candidate will be a proactive “go getter” who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Example responsibilities include:

• Work in the 1st Line of Defense alongside Control Owners to respond to various regulatory and audit requests, ensuring responses are tracked and completed in a sufficient manner for the ITAM control team.  

• Complete initial review of responses, provide feedback, and update tracker.

• Coordinate with Control Owners to incorporate feedback.

• Be a point of contact and assist Control Owners with reviews and guide them through the regulatory / audit documentation response, review, and sign-off process.

Must have skills:

• Regulatory background – manage documentation process / requirements for regulatory response and audit purposes in a financial services environment
• Excellent documentation skills and ability to map processes and controls to regulatory / audit standards
• IRM / GRC (Governance, Risk, Controls)
• ITAM – basic understanding
• Excellent communication – written and verbal
• Detail oriented
• Proactive “go getter”
• Thrives in a fast paced environment

Preferred skills:

• Infrastructure IT Risk & Control background
• Service Now (SNOW)
• SNOW as a GRC tool highly beneficial
• Legal / paralegal / Big 4 / consulting background highly preferred
