Job Summary: 
Heitmeyer has banking client that has a need within their Technology organization for a Scrum Master who is a servant leader and facilitates all aspects of SDLC within an Agile framework.  Must have strong understanding of the business needs and be able to facilitate solid project delivery through coordination of team activities and deliverables.    

Job Description: 
The Scrum Master will orchestrate and facilitate project activities across all agile teams.  This individual will be a leader in mentoring and coaching team members to work through issues and ensure solid project delivery while sharing team success and engaging with senior leadership.  This job is available for remote work; however, must be based in the following states: Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma along with Florida, Nebraska, Tennessee or Texas

Top Required Skills:

  1. Must have 10+ years of hands on Scrum Master experience including coaching.  
  2. Scrum/Agile certifications strongly preferred – CSM, CSPO, PSM, PMI-ACP.
  3. Passion for building relationships, negotiating and supporting collaborative environment across many stakeholders.  
  4. Extensive problem solving and analytical skills.  
  5. Knowledge and experience across Agile methodologies and practices: 
    • Scrum, Kanban and XP (Extreme Programming)
    • Agile software – JIRA, Confluence
    • Process improvement and modeling methods – process flows, user journeys, value streams, Six Sigma (preferred) 
    • Google Suite of Products – Gmail, Google Chat, Sheets, Slides
    • Slack, Miro, Lucid Charts
  6. Strong communication with ability to work closely with other team members and stakeholders.

Nice-to-have:

  1. Background within financial services would be beneficial but not required.  

Top Responsibilities:

  • Manage all project activities across agile teams to enable effective and efficient project delivery.
  • Coach and mentor teams by supporting continuous improvements that enable high performing Agile methodologies, principles and practices.
  • Lead multiple events as part of SDLC – sprint commitments, estimation, flow of work.
  • Protect the teams work in progress and monitor issues/risks/blockers to team performance while communicating and partnering to resolve.
  • Share successes and needs with senior leadership and ensure high communication support to support change management.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and willingness to support team members across experience levels.
