Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Engineer with strong z/OS systems expertise to support installation, customization, performance tuning, and system optimization in a Parallel Sysplex environment. The ideal candidate is a strong team player with mentoring capabilities and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, complex environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform z/OS system installation, SMP/E maintenance, and ISV customization

• Support storage, networking, capacity planning, and performance tuning

• Document procedures, manage changes, and ensure system stability

• Analyze and resolve recurring issues to improve recovery time

• Collaborate with application teams and provide mentoring to junior staff

• Participate in 24×7 on-call rotation

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

• 5–10 years of z/OS engineering experience

• Strong skills in SMP/E, debugging, and performance optimization

Preferred Skills:

• MainView and zOSMF installation and maintenance

• Experience with TCP/IP, storage management, and Coupling Facility

• WLM tuning, SAS/MXG or zPCA performance reporting

• ChangeMan administration and ISV software support

• Familiarity with banking environments is a plus
