Title: Senior Java Developer – API & Authentication

Overview:
We’re building an onshore development team to standardize authentication across more than 15 enterprise applications. This role focuses on creating secure, scalable API solutions using Spring Boot, Apigee, and OAuth/OpenID Connect that integrate with our enterprise identity platform (Ping Federate). You’ll work closely with Cybersecurity, API platform, and application teams to ensure a unified login approach across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy secure APIs and services using Java Spring Boot.

• Implement API gateways and integrations using Apigee.

• Apply OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect standards to authentication workflows.

• Collaborate with Cybersecurity and platform teams to align with enterprise identity standards.

• Support and guide application teams transitioning to the standardized authentication framework.

• Contribute to code reviews, best practices, and mentoring junior developers.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong experience with Java Spring Boot.

• Hands-on expertise with Apigee API gateway.

• Proven knowledge of OAuth 2.0 (OpenID Connect preferred).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with Ping Federate or similar identity platforms.

• Knowledge of token handling and cardholder data security.

• Experience with enterprise-level authentication migrations.

Additional Details:

• Full-time, onshore role with opportunities to collaborate with offshore teams.

• Work on a high-impact initiative critical to enterprise security and standardization.
