Business Systems Analyst – Debit Card Processing

Location: 100% remote. Must work EST hours
 
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support a large-scale Debit Card Platform Modernization initiative at a top-tier financial institution. This is not a lead role, but it requires a highly experienced professional who can work independently with minimal support.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical business analysis background, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of debit card processing. This position sits in technology and is heavily focused on documentation, data mapping, API connectivity, testing, and execution rather than product ownership.
 
Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design and documentation phase, gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
• Provide expertise in debit card processing to ensure a smooth execution of project deliverables.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for testing and processes.
• Perform data mapping.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system functionality.

 
Required Skills:

• 10+ years of experience as a Technical BA, BSA, or similar role
• 8+ years of recent experience in cards / payments including deep debit card processing, ideally conversion experience to Fiserv, with the ability to contribute immediately.
• Solid business analysis skills, including documentation of system integrations and process mapping with APIs.
• Experience in data mapping and testing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.

 
Preferred “Nice-to-Have” Skills

• Familiarity with Jira or Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
• Knowledge of Zephyr or other testing tools.
• Exposure to automated testing frameworks.
