Title: Project Manager
Location: Remote (EST)
Duration: Contract-to-Hire
Heitmeyer Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of business-critical data transformation initiatives with one of our financial services clients.
Qualified candidates will have demonstrated the ability to guide cross-functional teams and multiple external partners through influence, communication, and strong facilitation.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects through the full project lifecycle from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring and completion.
- Recommend and select appropriate delivery methodologies based on the business needs
- Develop and maintain project plans, drive objectives, timelines, scope and budget while providing stakeholder visibility and proactive transparency for risk mitigation.
- Influence and align stakeholders, external partners and project teams across multiple functions
- Clearly define and document project information that is digestible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Experience
- Experience managing projects, programs, or complex operational initiatives.
- Experience leading data-centric projects such as data processing, data management, data manipulation and data governance.
- Ability to facilitate workshops, lead whiteboard sessions and elicit requirements.
- Clear and effective communication skills across technical and business audiences.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities, and stakeholder expectations.
- Previous Benefits Administration, Financial Services or Insurance experience
Nice to Have
- Certification(s) and/or some form of continuous skill development
- Experience with modern data stacks and tools (Dataverse, Azure Synapse, MS Fabric, Power BI, Copilot)
- Experience working with commission reporting, commission statements or revenue tracking and reconciliation
