Business Systems Analyst III

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst III (BSA) to support a large enterprise IT application. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and ensure successful solution delivery.

The ideal candidate is a strong analytical thinker and proactive problem-solver who can effectively bridge business and technical teams, manage multiple priorities, and contribute throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs and assess potential system impacts through research and stakeholder engagement

• Collaborate with business partners to gather, document, and refine requirements

• Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria

• Partner with solution architects and technical teams to understand technical implications and service changes

• Develop and maintain project artifacts including technical requirements, documentation, and data models/matrices

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stand-ups

• Ensure alignment between business objectives and technology solutions

• Support testing, validation, and implementation of delivered features

• Manage Scrum-related responsibilities for assigned applications, including backlog management and sprint coordination

• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to communicate requirements, progress, and key decisions

• Serve as a liaison between business partners, development teams, QA teams, and other analysts to ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar delivery role

• Strong understanding of business analysis practices, frameworks, and methodologies

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

• Experience within the banking or financial services industry

• Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines

• Experience collaborating with solution architects and technical teams

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting enterprise systems or large-scale technology initiatives

• Familiarity with tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, Salesforce, and Azure DevOps

• Background in data analysis, data modeling, and solution delivery

• Ability to mentor junior analysts and contribute to team process improvements

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
