Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of a Snowflake-based data mart supporting a Counterparty Mastering System. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that enable efficient data integration, analytics, and regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate combines strong full stack engineering skills with deep experience in cloud data platforms and financial data environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance a Snowflake-based data mart to support analytics, reporting, and counterparty data workflows
- Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and integrate data from multiple sources
- Optimize database performance, data models, and application components for scalability and efficiency
- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and financial industry requirements
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Write unit and integration tests; maintain code quality and system reliability
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture, data models, and workflows
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and capabilities
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 7+ years of full stack development, with a focus on data-driven applications or data marts
- 3+ years working with cloud data platforms, preferably Snowflake
- Experience supporting data mastering systems, ideally within counterparty or financial data domains
Technical Skills
- Back-end development experience with languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or C#
- Strong SQL expertise and hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, stored procedures, SnowSQL)
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Proven ability to build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Airflow, dbt, or similar
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their integration with Snowflake
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and version control (Git)
- Understanding of financial data concepts such as KYC, counterparty data, or credit risk is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with counterparty risk or financial data systems
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and master data management (MDM) tools
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Relevant certifications in Snowflake, AWS, or similar technologies
