Job Title: Core Banking Deposits – Test Script Writer & Executor

Role Overview
Heitmeyer Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented Test Script Writer & Executor to support testing activities for a core banking deposits platform implementation with one of our clients. This role works closely with Deposits Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate real-world banking scenarios into structured, executable test scripts and then execute those scripts within the system.
This position is ideal for someone who understands core banking deposits operations, enjoys working directly with business users, and can turn conversations into thorough, repeatable test cases that validate end-to-end processes.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct working sessions with Deposits SMEs to gather test scenarios, edge cases, and expected outcomes
• Translate SME input into clear, step-by-step test scripts
• Execute test scripts within the core banking platform and document results
• Identify, document, and retest defects through resolution
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across deposit functions, workflows, and exception scenarios
• Partner with the broader testing team to align scripts with overall test strategy
• Provide feedback on system behavior, gaps, or inconsistencies identified during testing
• Build and maintain a reusable library of deposit test scripts

Required Qualifications (Must Have)

• Strong knowledge of core banking deposits operations and workflows
• Demonstrated experience writing detailed test scripts from business discussions
• Hands-on experience executing system test scripts and documenting outcomes
• Excellent interview, listening, and documentation skills
• Ability to think through end-to-end deposit processes, including exceptions
• Ability to work independently in SME-driven working sessions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience supporting core banking system implementations or conversions
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools
• Experience working directly with business SMEs in testing or requirements roles
• Exposure to multiple core banking modules beyond deposits
