Contract to Hire role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development efforts across Python and Java-based applications in cloud environments (AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform).
• Design and build scalable solutions leveraging RESTful APIs and data integration patterns.
• Support data movement and transformation activities, including ETL processes via both file-based and API-driven methods.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers, supporting skill development and code quality.
• Contribute to system design discussions and provide input on architecture decisions.
• Ensure solutions align with internal standards related to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a working understanding of the broader technology stack to support troubleshooting and technical inquiries.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience (flexible for candidates with strong technical credentials).
• Hands-on experience developing in both Python and Java.
• Experience working within cloud environments, including AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and integration patterns.
• Experience with data movement and ETL processes, including both file-based and API-based approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide less experienced developers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating legacy systems into Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Exposure to enterprise architecture practices and governance frameworks.
• Experience operating within regulated environments (e.g., financial services, banking, or similar).

Additional Considerations

• This role requires the ability to quickly understand and operate within an existing technology stack and development standards.
• Time will be provided to onboard and learn internal systems, processes, and compliance requirements.
• Expected to serve as a reliable point of contact for technical and architectural questions as ramp-up progresses
