Heitmeyer Consulting is currently hiring for a Project Manager for a banking client to lead complex cloud integration and migration initiatives—typically moving legacy, on?prem banking systems to cloud platforms—while ensuring delivery discipline, regulatory compliance, stakeholder alignment, and risk mitigation. The PM will act as the execution anchor between engineering, architecture, security, vendors, and business leaders.
 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud integration and migration initiatives, including infrastructure, application, and data workstreams.
• Own project planning and execution: define scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource plans across multiple technical teams.
• Serve as the primary delivery point of contact between engineering, architecture, security, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Drive governance and delivery rigor, including status reporting, RAID logs, change control, and executive?level communications.
• Coordinate cloud platform activities (AWS, Azure, or GCP), ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.
• Manage cross-functional teams using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies depending on program needs.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, operational, and regulatory risks, escalating appropriately to senior leadership.
• Partner closely with information security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure cloud solutions meet banking and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee vendor and system integrator relationships, ensuring delivery commitments, quality standards, and timelines are met.
• Support data and application migration planning, including cutover strategies, testing coordination, and post?migration stabilization.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment on priorities, sequencing, and tradeoffs, balancing speed, stability, and risk.
• Ensure documentation standards are met, including architecture artifacts, runbooks, and operational handoffs.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, tools, and communication models throughout the program lifecycle.

Stakeholder & Executive Communication

• Provide concise, executive-ready program updates to senior leadership.
• Translate complex delivery and technology topics into clear business-level insights.
• Drive alignment and decision-making across senior stakeholders.

Required Skills (Must Haves)

• End-to-end technical project management experience on cloud programs
• Hands-on experience with cloud integration and/or cloud migration efforts
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid environments
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional technical teams (engineering, infra, security, data)
• Deep experience with SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and hybrid delivery models
• Expertise in risk, issue, and dependency management in complex environments
• Strong executive-level communication and status reporting

Nice to Have Skills

• Prior experience in banking or financial services
• Exposure to regulatory, security, or compliance?driven programs
• Familiarity with data migration, APIs, middleware, or integration platforms
• Experience coordinating third-party vendors / system integrators
• PMP, SAFe, or Agile certifications
