Heitmeyer Consulting is currently hiring for a Business Systems Analyst for a banking client with a focus on driving new technology efforts with a focus on data analytics.  Applicants must have 3+ years of business analyst experience, eliciting and writing requirements, mapping processes and creating user stories. Strong written and oral communications are a must as you will be partnering with various internal stakeholders and is someone who is a self starter who isn’t afraid to ask questions and find answers themselves.

Required Skills (Must Haves)

• Banking Business Systems Analyst experience – need strong technical expertise in working through technology related initiatives. 
• Strong data skill set with ability to manipulate, merger, analyze, review complex data sets and align results for stakeholders and senior leadership.  
• Solid background eliciting and developing requirements, mapping processes, and creating user stories.    
• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements in a bank or similar function.  
• Ability to translate business needs (would include Treasury and Payments, Deposit Products, Digital Experience, Marketing) needs into platform requirements.
• Strong stakeholder collaboration across Operations, IT, and Product teams.

Nice to Have Skills

• Banking expertise and experience very beneficial but not required.
• Working within highly regulated environment.  
• Exposure to reporting tools like Power BI and Tableau.  

Job Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering efforts through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process reviews.
• Review complex data sets and synthesize information to analyze results, guide decisions and provide insights to leadership.  Must be proficient with XLS and analytical tools – VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Index-match, formulas, functions.  
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable documentation, including:
  • Business requirements
  • Functional requirements
  • Process flows
  • Use cases and user stories (as applicable)
• Ensure requirements are accurately communicated to Technology and vendor partners.
• Support solution design by validating that proposed technical solutions meet business needs.
• Maintain traceability from business requirements through testing and implementation.
