Job Summary:
This Application Security Engineer will support bank’s AI-Ready Cyber Resilience program by operationalizing security scanning capabilities for frontier AI-assisted development workflows and onboarding new security controls/products into enterprise application environments. The person will sit on the Cyber Application and Cloud Defense team and will help drive secure adoption of new AppSec tooling, including Claude security scans, CI/CD integration, policy configuration, onboarding support, and cloud/security platform enablement.
This is a hands-on engineering role blending application security, developer platform integration, and security product onboarding. The ideal candidate can work across development teams, AppSec tooling, GitLab pipelines, and cloud/container security processes.

Top 3 Priorities in First 90 Days

1. Stand up and operationalize Claude security scanning
   • Configure, run, and stabilize Claude-related security scans.
   • Support design/implementation of jobs and pipelines to automate scans.
2. Drive onboarding and integration of new security products
   • Help onboard and integrate the new package firewall product, patch in-place product, and ASPM product.
   • Support policy setup, documentation, and training materials for adoption at scale.
3. Support broader AppSec and cloud defense operational needs
   • Contribute to AppVR support, cloud monitoring tasks, and Prisma-related migration activities.
   • Help ensure tooling integrations align with enterprise security standards and developer workflows.

Required Skills (Must-Haves)

• Strong hands-on experience as an Application Security Engineer, Security Engineer, Software Engineer with AppSec focus, or Systems Engineer supporting AppSec tooling
• Experience setting up and running security scans, ideally in modern SDLC / CI-CD environments
• Practical knowledge of GitLab pipelines, build processes, and automation jobs
• Strong understanding of application security products and their implementation/onboarding
• Experience with developer tooling integration, policy configuration, and deployment workflows
• Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, C#, Python
• Familiarity with Claude Code or strong exposure to AI-assisted coding/security workflows
• Ability to work across engineering, security, and platform teams to drive product adoption

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with ASPM (Application Security Posture Management) platforms
• Exposure to container security, cloud workload protection, or Prisma Cloud
• Experience with AppVR / application vulnerability response processes
• Knowledge of package firewall or software supply chain security tooling
• Familiarity with patch in-place security approaches and runtime remediation models
• Experience creating training documentation, onboarding guides, or runbooks
• Exposure to enterprise banking security environments and secure SDLC controls

Ideal Background

• Background in large bank / financial institution cybersecurity team
• Security consulting firm supporting AppSec transformation programs
• Internal product security or DevSecOps team in a large enterprise
• Developer platform / platform engineering team with security tooling implementation responsibility
• Fintech, cloud-native enterprise, or regulated technology environment
• Claud Code / Claude security scanning experience

Experience Level

• 5–10+ years total experience
• Typically mid-to-senior level engineer
• Should be able to operate with moderate independence in a complex enterprise environment

Banking / Industry Experience

Preferred:

• Banking, financial services, payments, fintech, or other highly regulated enterprise environments
