Position Summary

Heitmeyer Consulting is seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to support our enterprise-wide AWS migration initiative. This role will be responsible for driving and coordinating the migration of multiple applications from on-premises to the cloud, ensuring timelines, dependencies, and risks are actively managed.

You will work closely with application teams, engineering, infrastructure, and other stakeholders to track progress, follow up on issues, and help tee up applications scheduled for migration in future quarters.

This position requires someone who is trustworthy, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams in parallel. Strong understanding of cloud vs. on-prem environments is important, and experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines is a major plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities and timelines for multiple application cloud migrations.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for 6 application PMs, each managing 6+ applications.

• Proactively identify and follow up on issues or blockers with migrating applications.

• Coordinate with app teams preparing for migration in the upcoming quarter.

• Track and document progress using JIRA and other project management tools.

• Collaborate with technical leads on AWS foundational components and CI/CD changes.

• Work in tandem with the overall Program Manager to ensure alignment across teams.

• Ensure clear communication and status reporting to stakeholders and leadership.

• Maintain detailed project documentation and timelines.

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in technology or infrastructure projects.

• Proven ability to manage complex, concurrent workstreams and cross-functional teams.

• Experience working with JIRA or similar project tracking tools.

• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, including differences between on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with cloud migrations, especially to AWS.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.

• Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
