Role: Senior Technical Analyst – Payments (Money Movement)

Location: Atlanta, Columbus, GA, Birmingham, Ft. Lauderdale, Nashville (Just needs to be in footprint and willing to go into the office for key meetings, but will not be in office weekly) 

Overview

We are seeking a highly technical Senior Analyst to support enterprise-wide Money Movement initiatives during a complex banking merger. This role will serve as a technical liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring seamless translation of business requirements into development-ready technical documentation.

The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience in banking payments platforms and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical interface between Treasury, Operations, Digital, and Engineering teams

• Attend business requirements sessions and perform:

  • Capability mapping

  • Gap analysis

  • Dependency identification

• Translate business requirements into:

  • Technical requirements

  • Acceptance criteria

  • Integration documentation

• Document and manage user stories in Jira

• Participate in daily stand-ups with engineering teams

• Identify and escalate risks, blockers, and cross-stream interdependencies

• Support technical assessments and platform decisions across payments systems

• Ensure clean handoff of documentation to development teams without slowing execution

Required Experience

• 5+ years in banking technology, payments, or financial systems

• Prior experience as:

  • Engineer

  • Developer

  • Technical Systems Analyst

  • Technical Product Owner

• Deep understanding of:

  • ACH

  • Wires

  • Zelle

  • Bill Pay

  • Payment rails & money movement architecture

  • API and SFTP integrations

• Hands-on experience with: Postman and Jira. Preferred experience with: FIS platforms, Pep+, and/or IBS Tracker

• Experience participating in platform conversions or technical assessments

• Ability to operate in a highly integrated, enterprise environment (not siloed systems)

Preferred

• Experience in merger or large-scale bank conversion environments

• Exposure to TSYS or card platforms

• Understanding of upstream/downstream integration impacts across channels
