Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Product Owner with hands-on Oracle Financial Services Data Foundation Cloud Service (DFCS) implementation experience to support our banking client’s strategic finance data modernization initiative. This is a newly created role driven by the organization’s migration from Oracle FSDF to DFCS, and the team is specifically looking for DFCS expertise they do not currently have in-house.
The ideal candidate is highly technical and data-focused, comfortable owning a complex data platform product, and experienced guiding cloud data platform implementations within a financial institution.
This is a 6-month contract-to-hire role with long-term conversion intent.
 
Top Responsibilities:

• Own and drive the DFCS product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise finance, risk, and regulatory objectives while prioritizing the backlog to deliver maximum business value.
• Serve as the primary voice of stakeholders and customers, proactively anticipating needs, making informed decisions, and removing blockers to enable continuous delivery.
• Lead backlog execution and delivery, including writing and refining user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and partnering closely with agile delivery teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, and delivery teams, fully participating in Agile ceremonies and ensuring transparent communication and progress reporting across one or more product workstreams.
• Influence across a matrixed environment, aligning senior stakeholders, business partners, and peer Product Owners around shared data dependencies, customer journeys, and strategic priorities.

 
Required Skills:

• Prior DFCS implementation experience at a financial institution (non-negotiable).
• Seasoned Product Owner with a strong technical and data background, including experience with data platforms, cloud migrations, and enterprise data foundations.
• Product Owner certification (Scrum.org or equivalent).
• Proven experience with Agile delivery, including user story writing, backlog management, Jira, and Agile ceremonies.
• Proven SQL skills, with the ability to read and validate logic, analyze data relationships, understand joins and transformations, and confidently challenge development teams.

 
Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with regulatory reporting environments (e.g., finance or banking regulations).
• Exposure to Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.
